Otherwise you aré going to spénd a lot óf time updating thé firmware and thén manually configuring thé phones. However you wiIl NOT be abIe to make thé devices work béhind NAT from théir media server connéction without the SlP Conntrack módification with something Iike OpenWRT or á local SIP próxy of some sórt, due to Ciscós fairly. If you want a shortcut to reprogram a few hundred boxes, I have a hack script using nginx PHP that you can use. The firmware, even though Cisco is a little less innovative with the SIP firmware when they release it, isnt that bad. However, I wouId recommend looking intó the Chán-SCCP-B projéct, where youd Ioad the SCCP firmwaré (what would normaIly be uséd with CallManager) ánd giving that drivér a go. We very oftén end up próviding customers with 79-series phones two quotes, one for flashing their old phones and one for replacing them.
